A cart and a pay button inside ChatGPT

Agentic Checkout puts a storefront in ChatGPT. The merchant keeps the catalog. Orkestia runs the cart and the charge.

Orkestia is the backbone that connects software, AI, and the real world. Agentic Checkout is a storefront with a cart and a pay button inside ChatGPT. The shopper stays in the assistant. The merchant keeps the catalog. Totals come from the store, not from the model.

This is the commerce surface behind Seu negócio no ChatGPT, an extra sales channel in Portuguese. That landing is a campaign. This post is the product.

What the shopper sees

A shopper asks what you sell and gets a screen: product cards, a cart with totals, a buyer form, and one button that names the price. The whole purchase stays in the conversation. The model does not invent a total. The store computes it.

The merchant console is checkout.orkestia.dev. Sign in with the same Orkestia account you use for the rest of the platform. There you set colours, strings, which card sections show, which product attributes drive tags and options, and which buyer fields the checkout asks for. A live preview of the real component updates while you edit.

The ChatGPT connect URL is the hosted checkout MCP, checkout-mcp.orkestia.dev. Copy it from the console. Do not hand-roll a second MCP server for the storefront.

What is live today

Checkout is a catalog capability under checkout.*. It is billed on the same actor-seat plan as the rest of the platform. Amounts are on pricing. Lifecycle is beta. The live types are the source of truth, in the catalog and at reference.orkestia.dev.

v1 records the order on the platform and the confirmation on the screen tells the shopper how payment is handled. Read that confirmation. Do not promise a card network the catalog does not call.

Merchant loop

  1. Create an Orkestia account and subscribe.
  2. Open checkout.orkestia.dev, set the storefront, add products.
  3. Copy the ChatGPT connect URL and add it as a connector.
  4. Watch orders in the merchant console.

The campaign form on /chatgpt is for people who want a call, not a substitute for this console.

Totals the store computed

The model must not be the cashier. Product price, cart total, and the label on the pay button come from checkout workflows. If a shopper bargains in prose, the screen still shows the store's number. That is the whole point of keeping cart and pay on Orkestia instead of hoping the assistant adds correctly.

A first afternoon for a merchant:

  1. Subscribe at app.orkestia.dev/start.
  2. Open checkout.orkestia.dev. Set colours and strings. Add a handful of products. Watch the preview.
  3. Copy the ChatGPT connect URL from checkout-mcp.orkestia.dev.
  4. Place a test order from ChatGPT. Read the order in the merchant console and read the confirmation the shopper saw. They should agree.

The Portuguese campaign landing /chatgpt is for leads who want a call. It is not the console.
